“the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. these are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.” revelation 17:12-13 have you ever speculated how one can be a king with no kingdom? could this possibly be talking about the “super rich” people? men like bezos and gates and all the super rich guys who head social media; men that have more money than most countries.
Take me home please.
God gets all the glory. He has been speaking to me lately about grace. Grace is unmerited favor. Do you know His throne is grace and He tells us to come before it boldly. Can you imagine being bold with God. Yet He tells us to; definitely with meekness and trembling. Was He not pleased that Moses was bold enough request to see His very essence?Take me home please.
His word is full of promises and He wants us to claim them. Just take Him at His word. So Father, we come boldly to your throne of grace. We ask for mercy for all the needs and for all those loved ones that have been prayed for. Bring them home before your soon coming. We pray in the righteous name of Jesus. Maranatha!
I suppose you have all heard about the recent accident of Tiger Woods. Because he is a famous athlete, it was all over the news. Of course we all pray for his speedy, full recovery, but that is not my message here. I recently noticed an article about him and it was entitled “Inches from Eternity” by Tim Burton.
I just want everyone to realize that is the position of us all — inches from where we will enter eternity. Everyone, just please be sure that where you are headed is where you want to go. There is a life after life.Take me home please.
I am feeling an urgency in my spirit to warn God’s people about becoming entrenched with the systems of this world. That especially means the religious systems. I don’t care if you consider yourself a catholic, a protestant, a charismatic or whatever. There are many preachers and even denominations that are deviating from the teachings of Christ. They are teaching false doctrines, being deceived and deceiving others.
You must know the Word for yourself. If anyone teaches anything that is not in scripture, we should be alerted. Jesus Christ (and His Word) are the same yesterday, today and forever. They are the same and they change not. Do not cling to a person or organization that will lead you down the wrong path. Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship.
If the parable of the ten virgins is about the church, half of them will not be ready for Him. Pray for them earnestly, but do not partake in their loose morals. Do not let sin or the cares of this life distract you from your goal; from your true love. He has set before us life and death. His ways will never mesh with the world, but they will lead to eternal life. Maranatha!Take me home please.
I always want to try and be attentive to what the Spirit is saying to His people in this time. They are critical times we are living in. The Word says He speaks in a still small voice. The earthquake and fires are what the world will hear and see; but not us. That is, if we are listening.
I think too many times we are in God’s way instead of helping Him. We want to help Him. We work hard to please Him. The truth is; He doesn’t need our help. We need His. He has said “without Me, you can do nothing”. So how do we help God; by getting out of His way. He is looking for vessels that He might fill. We must empty ourselves that He might fill us. He must increase, but I must decrease. He has said His strength is made perfect in weakness.
Several years back God dropped a melody in my heart. I can’t sound the melody here, but I will give you one of the verses. “There remains a sabbath rest that I will lead you to. It’s where all your works have ended and my Spirit reigns in you.” That is truly our sabbath rest.
So listen for what the Spirit is saying. He wants to talk and fellowship with you more than you think. He is the comforter, but He is also the fire of God. Become that yielded vessel that He is seeking. Go where He says go. Speak when He says speak. Stop when He says stop. He goes where ever He will like the wind. If He cannot stir your branches, He will move on to where He can.
I went a little longer in this blog than I normally intend to, but I felt led to say all this. Become His yielded vessel. It will be joy unspeakable and full of glory. The latter glory will be greater. You can be one who causes sinners to fall down in conviction because of the Holy Spirit in you. Maranatha!Take me home please.
I know what you’re going to say. “Why would anyone be interested in what you are saying?” I say the same thing about people who publish details about their whole lives; like what they had for breakfast. I promise, we will make this a different kind of blog. We will be keeping 10 blog listings before they truncate off.
I know there will be times the Lord will be laying something on my heart. Perhaps He will be talking to you also and that will serve as confirmation for you. Perhaps there will be times I feel there is an urgent prayer request that needs attention from the body of Christ. Whatever the case may be, I promise not to fill this space with things that do not concern the Lord. Isn’t that all that really matters anyway? For that reason (and that alone) I hope you will refer back here frequently.
I believe there will be difficult times ahead; even for the body of Christ; perhaps especially for us. We know this world is not our home and the world hates us. They will be coming for us because they see in us what they do not have; the peace of God which passes understanding; the confidence that comes from knowing the Lord. Let us take every opportunity we can to encourage each other. Until we meet again, God be with you all.Take me home please.
